GREAT INTERNATIONAL AWARD, by the International Jury
Autumn Waltz
(Serbia, United States)
This story is about normal people in extraordinary times, something that we are all living today… A war story that is quite universal and contemporary. We would like to emphasize its poetic surrealism (inherited from Fellini), which is filtered throughout the movie. Finally, we would like to focus the attention on the flawless technical work and the impeccable script.

CRITICS AWARD
Autumn Waltz
(Serbia, United States)
We decided to reward the short Autumn Waltz for its ability to create a very real dystopic atmosphere to be conceived as a tense experience more than a closed narrative idea. It also leads you to critically reflect on the concept of borders in contemporary Europe.

ALMA JURY AWARD
Lo siento, mi amor

AWARD OF THE BARCELONA CINEMA SCHOOLS
Escamas
(Spain)
This short explores the meeting of two women in Barcelona who rediscover themselves thanks to their friendship. The dynamic dialogues, the composition of the image, the vibrant production design and the excellent act of the principal actresses make a compelling argument to give this piece an award. The jury of this section highlights how this project explores the sensitivity of the characters and gives voice to a story about the Trans community and its acceptance in a city like Barcelona. It emphasizes the visibility of the bodies, usually erased in the more conventional audiovisual representations, and the importance of silences, that reminds us of the silence and the collective silencing suffered. In short, Escamas entails a great effort from the director Katherina Harder and her team from the school Bandè a Part Escola de Cine.
