Mecal Air reinvents itself: now free and at the Museum of Design
Mecal Air, after 10 years non-stop organising the longest-running outdoor cinema of the Barcelona summer season, reinvents itself.
The summer classic open-air short film screenings are moving to Jardins Elisava, next to the DHUB, with the collaboration of the Barcelona Museum of Design.
Instead of presenting the short films sorted by themes, film genres will establish the programme structure. A striking compilation of films that, every Friday throughout July and August, will dazzle all and sundry with evenings devoted to Sci-Fi, Animation or Z Movies, amongst many many others. What’s more, the opening film of the night will always be design-related (graphic, fashion, industrial…), in a nod to the new location.
Make sure you get there on time as to get your favourite spot, since it’s free entrance. There will be bar service so that no-one in the audience gets neither hungry nor thirsty.
