Mecal’s short films to land in Ibiza this summer
This summer, to the delight of movie buffs, a new cultural event kicks off in Ibiza; themed screenings of short films, brought to you by Mecal, Barcelona’s International Short and Animation Film Festival.
On Friday of 29th June a double bill at Can Jeroni Cultural Centre marks the start of the festival. At 7:30pm, both the young and the old will have a wonderful time with a family-friendly collection of animated short films. At 9pm the audience will enjoy a “Best Of” programme, including some of the best films that have been screened over the past 20 years of the Barcelona based festival.
On Saturday 30th of June, at 10pm, The Beatles will be the stars of the evening, with a selection of short films (fiction, animation, documentary) all about the Fab Four. It will mark the beginning of Mecal Air’s “Short Film Nights”, with open air screenings every Saturday throughout July and August at Es Tancó de Can Curt in Sant Agustí.
