Ferenc Rófusz (Hungary, 1946) is an animator and has a very personal style. He revolutionized the animation genre, as he introduced the subjective point of view in his films. The aim of this retrospective is to bring the audience closer to his work, that often suffered from the regime control of the old communist regime. It is representative in this sense the fact that Rofusz could not go pick up the Oscar when he was awarded in 1981 for A Légy, ‘A Fly’ (1981), due to the travel restrictions.
After the screening, there will be an interview with Rófusz and the audience will be able to ask questions to the director.
