Film Festival KAFF, the most important animation film festival in Hungary, is held every two summers in Kecskemét, town situated in the centre of the country. The festival was created in 1985 with the aim of establishing a meeting point for the exhibition of the national film production. Although an open section is dedicated to international animation creations since 1996, KAFF continues to be the main point of reference for Hungarian animation and the most part of its programme is focused on its promotion.
